Refund, Late & Cancellation Policy

Last updated June 1, 2026 · v2026-06-01

We know plans can change. This policy explains how deposits, refunds, rescheduling, late arrivals, and cancellations work at Say Yes Wedding Chapel, so there are no surprises on your special day. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

01 Deposits

Deposit to reserve50% of total — non-refundable
Remaining balanceDue before your ceremony

A 50% deposit is required to confirm and hold your date. This deposit is non-refundable because it removes your date from our calendar and reserves our staff and styling for you. The remaining balance is due in full before your ceremony date; ceremonies cannot proceed with an outstanding balance.

02 Cancellation by the Couple

If you need to cancel, written notice (email is fine) is required. Refund eligibility on amounts paid above your deposit depends on how much notice you give:

30+ days before your dateFull refund of balance paid
15–29 days before50% refund of balance paid
0–14 days beforeNo refund

In every case, the 50% deposit is retained. Refunds apply only to amounts paid beyond the deposit and are processed to your original payment method within 7–10 business days.

03 Rescheduling & Date Changes

Life happens — we’d much rather move your date than lose your celebration. You may reschedule once at no fee with at least 14 days’ notice, subject to availability, and your deposit and payments transfer to the new date.

04 Late Arrivals

Because we host ceremonies back-to-back, your one-hour window begins at your scheduled start time. We offer a courtesy 15-minute grace period. To keep everyone’s day running smoothly:

Up to 15 minutes lateNo charge — grace period
16–30 minutes late$75 late fee
More than 30 minutes lateCeremony may be shortened or rescheduled

If your party arrives more than 30 minutes past the scheduled start, we may need to shorten your ceremony to protect the next couple’s time, or treat it as a same-day reschedule subject to availability. Added time, when available, is billed at the Extra Hour of Coverage rate.

05 No-Shows

Failure to arrive for your reserved time without notice is treated as a same-day cancellation. No refund is issued, and any outstanding balance for booked services remains due.

06 Add-Ons & Outside Vendor Fees

Add-ons (such as photography, florals, film, social hour, or transportation) follow the same refund schedule as your balance in Section 02. Some add-ons involving third-party vendors or perishable goods — for example fresh florals or scheduled black-car service — may be non-refundable once arranged. We’ll always tell you in advance which items have already been committed.

07 Cancellation by the Chapel

In the rare event we must cancel your ceremony for reasons within our control, you will receive a full refund of everything paid, including your deposit, or the option to reschedule at no charge — whichever you prefer.

08 Weather & Events Beyond Our Control

Our ceremonies take place indoors, so most weather won’t affect your day. If severe weather, a natural disaster, utility outage, or government restriction makes your ceremony impossible, we will reschedule at no additional venue fee, subject to availability. These circumstances are not eligible for a cash refund of the deposit.

09 How to Cancel or Reschedule

Send your request by email to info@sayyesweddingchapel.com or call us at (470) 278-1069. Please include your name, your reserved date, and whether you’d like to cancel or reschedule. The date we receive your written notice determines which refund tier applies.

We’re here to help.

Plans change, and we’ll always do our best to work with you. If you have any questions about this policy, reach out before you book.
